Build a whole little ecosystem: the right soil, a planter that makes you smile, and practical advice for what happens once you get it home.
Why Heartleaf exists
Heartleaf began with a simple thought: Elmhurst deserved a plant shop of its own.
Not a place where you need to know the Latin name before walking in. A place to sit, chat, learn what your plant needs, and find something beautiful without pressure.
A drooping leaf, an empty corner, a gift you want to get right—we're here for all of it.
Bring in your plant and get practical help choosing the right pot, soil, and next step.
Thoughtful combinations for gifts, tables, shelves, and spaces that need life.
Plant selection and styling for homes, offices, and local businesses.
Plain-spoken care advice for light, watering, pests, and choosing plants that fit.
Interiorscaping
Interiorscaping is choosing and styling plants for the spaces you live and work in. We help with homes and businesses alike — picking plants that suit your light, your space, and the care you can realistically give them.
An empty corner, a bare shelf, a window that could use some life — tell us about the spot and we'll help you fill it with plants that will actually thrive there.
Plants make a shop, office, or waiting room feel cared for. We'll help you choose and place plants that suit your space and your customers — no green thumb on staff required.

Yes — we can host small parties right here in the shop. Gather your favorite people surrounded by plants, and make Heartleaf the setting for your celebration.
A small birthday, shower, or milestone celebration feels a little more special in a room full of plants.
Pair your party with a hands-on plant project — like painting a pot and planting it up — so everyone goes home with something they made.
Book clubs, plant swaps, team get-togethers, or just a good excuse to get your people in one place.
Have a date or an idea in mind? Message us and we'll talk through the details together.

Three habits solve more problems than any gadget.
Most plants would rather dry a little than stay soggy. Feel the soil before you water; the right depth depends on the plant and pot.
Put your plant where it can see the sky without baking in harsh sun. If growth leans, stretches, or slows, try moving it closer to a window.
Leaves tell the story. Curling, yellowing, spots, and crispy edges are clues—notice what changed, then adjust one thing at a time.
Still unsure? Bring your questions—and your plant, if it's portable—to the shop.
